Attitude

I had planned to just put this in my diary, but thought maybe others could get some benefit...or maybe just a laugh...out of it. I see some accomplishments, but the attitude in my brain just doesn't want to click, I guess.

Lotta junk food. But at least I'm coming in under my calories.

Accomplishment is no booze. Was staring awfully hard at a jug of vodka the other night, but left it in the store. Those 2000+ calorie gulps are NOT a good thing.

Last 2 blood sugars were in the 100 teens. Have not seen that in a while. Been in the 140's & 50's for months now. Here I go again with numbers. They look decent. I guess life is more attitude than anything. If the attitude is not right, it makes no difference if all else is spot-on perfect.

I know what you mean! I stared at the ice cream in the store the other day; my kids really wanted some, but I knew that I'd wind up eating it all! And the temporary pleasure of the calories were not worth it.

Your post about carrying in those bags of dog food and then realizing that they were what you use to carry around 24/7 before your weight loss really hit home! I have to remind myself that I've done well and not let the weight creep back on, even though I have about 40-ish pounds to go. I just saw a really inspirational post called the unconquerable Dave, and it's inspired me to try a new take on diet and exercise. It's here if you want to read it: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/the-unconquerable-dave/#axzz2DOw6hwve

Best wishes! You can do it!
