I ran my first 5K on Thanksgiving. I didn't really train for it, I do run/walk 3 miles on the treadmill 4-5 times per week. I told myself if I had to stop and walk some of it that was ok, but I didn't. I jogged the whole thing and finished in 31 minutes! Felt so proud of myself.
What times have others completed their first 5K in?

That's fantastic - good for you!!

As for my first time, I don't remember but I think it was around 31-32 minutes.

I ran my first "official" 5k the weekend before Thanksgiving and had a PR or 27:09. That was 2:44 lower than my previous PR.
I was shocked that I did it in that time. I attributed the faster time to the competition around me, pushing me.
I typically run alone and have no competition. It makes a big difference when you're competing with others.
