I just realised that last night I picked up the New Balance calorie pedometer. Will this tell me the calories burned while I did the 30 days shred? Or will it only count steps? I'm new at this whole calorie counter thing..please help. Thank you.

Pedometers are only any use for step e excise like walking or running. It's very difficult to accurately calculate calories for weight traing. Lots of people put it on MFP as circuit training but people say MFP often over inflates calories used.

You need a heart rate monitor to get an accurate calorie count for exercises like 30DS. You can use MFP's calculator, but it usually overestimates burns.
