Stalling at 180 lbs. what to do?

Hi guys! Since I became a mfp member I lost 20lbs. in about 5 weeks, sticking to 1200 cals and working out 4 to 5 times a week. I gained about 2 lbs. when ive been doing alot of walking for a week, then back to 180 lbs the next week. Now I think im stuck to 180 lbs. and feel like the scale isnt moving. Is this normal? What should I do?

  • If it's only been stagnant for two weeks and you saw great results for the first 5, then i'd say to keep at it and give it time. I definitely wouldn't recommend eating below 1200.

    Increase your calories and make sure you are strength training. Building lean muscle mass will help to burn calories even at rest.

    Also, even if you are gaining weight/the scale isn't moving, check your measurements. Muscle weighs more and takes up less space than fat :)
