Workout DVDs or gym classes?

Does anybody use any workout DVDs which are effective? I've tried doing some Spark People Pilates with their YouTube videos and found them pretty enjoyable. Obviously it'd be preferable to go to do a live class, but sometimes I worry I'll be the fattest person in the class, which I know isn't a good reason but there ya go. I do have a gym membership but I haven't gone to a class in a long time. What's your opinion on home workouts vs. classes? Both work, or one is better than the other?

Both work. I like the convenience of working out from home especially during the week when you have to get to work. I save the group classes for weekends when I have more time and can hang out with friends. I think anything you do and get moving with will work. It depends what you're looking for in the workouts as well. A group workout does give you some accountability since other people are looking and you'll want to up your game. But that can happen at home too.0
