So I have been to a Physical Therapist and she says my traps are over developed and I should stretch them out and not work them out too much...

How the hell am I meant to avoid this muscle group nearly everything upper body engages them

I do for my upper body

bench press - bar
lat pull downs - pully
straight press - bar or barbells
side raises
fromt raises
kneeling one arm rows barbells - or bar upright rows
tricep kick backs
curls - a variety like hammer, standing, etc

What should I either stop or reduce weight on

    #1 Second opinion
#2 Is this causing an issue?
#3 Most people have a hard time really developing them. Simply not focusing on them and working them directly may be enough. (i.e. don't do shrugs)

    Thanks

I have a trapped nerve in my neck giving me pain and numbness down my left arm

I don't do shrugs but I row nearly every day plus the weight training

I think I may stop the extra rows in the weight room
