I don't want to fall off the wagon.

I am not strong, but I am also not weak. I cannot be broken, but I can be bent.
These past few weeks I've found myself slipping. One of those things that starts out with, "Oh, it won't hurt. It's just one!" and then it escalates for a few days. It's now been about two or three weeks. Knowing that I'm not doing well...honestly makes me feel sick to my stomach because being healthy is something that I want so badly. I want it, and I want it bad enough...but if something happens and my schedule is broken, I tend to get thrown off easily.
I had a set schedule: walking/jogging as much as I could (at least 60 minutes, or at least 3 miles depending on the type of intervals I was doing on the day) 5 days a week. Then I incorporated lifting, and I got sore and decided to take a few days off of my cardio to get used to my new routine: walk/jog 2-3 days a week, lift 3 days a week. I lifted for two weeks without getting back into my cardio. And as of yesterday, I didn't do my lifting because of a tight schedule and not being able to run by my house (where I have my own lifting equipment).
I am currently house-sitting for my grandparents, and have been since Friday, who have no exercise equipment available and I do not have the right clothes to walk/jog in the cold. I won't be back home until Saturday evening...and that discourages me. I feel like even if I do break out a DVD, or do jumping jacks or sit-ups or the half-part of a push up that I can do...it won't matter.
I feel hopeless right now.
What do you guys do to get out of this type of slump? Tell me something to get me motivated; tell me how sorry I'll be later if I don't do anything now, how happy I'll be if I do it now and don't wait.
Tell me something that would make YOU want to get up and move when all your normal means to exercise are gone.

well think about how far u have come. its ok to fall off the wagon...just make sure u run after it and hop bak on. i was no so good with my eating and not alot of exercise for the past two weeks, and i was tempted to give up. look at ur arms! they have definition. and it didnt come from feeling sorry for urselft for slippin here and there. it came from determination to be better. hey think about it this way, u fell off yesturday and gained 10lbs from eating all the pizza, well then start again today. whos counting?! and u can either get fat or u can get fit. your choice, ur clothes, ur body. have a great day! stay motivated.0

BUILD A WALL OF AWESOMENESS.
get chalkboard paint, or posterboard, or a wipe off board and a bunch of dry erase markers.
Make your new goal in fitness not to lose weight, not to lose inches, not to fit into something, not to behave a certain way until a certain holiday - but CONSISTENCE.
Aim to prove to YOURSELF that you have the integrity and the willpower and the cajones to do something consistently. because you Want it enough. And track it.
All your starting stats, all your improvements, every time you do ST make a big fat checkmark, everytime you do cardio - big fat checkmark, every time you beat a record, big fat something!
just stop with the wagon and realize that your life has already begun and when you fall off of it or whatever- youre still being dragged along. So look like an idgit being dragged behind your own life, or be the boss driving the whole thing.

Finding motivation isn't as hard as people think. Stop waiting for a big life changing epiphany to pop into your brain. You don't need to change the way you feel to do this.
Here's what you do. Get up, put your left foot in front of your right foot. Repeat until you're finished.
You don't need the "right" clothes. You don't need to eat just lettuce and celery. You just have to try. Every day.
So get up. Get moving. You'll find the motivation AFTER you start, not before.0 -

What you seek is within....
Realize.Visualize.Choose.Act.SUCCEED.
Choices are abundant in every moment of life. The impacts of your actions, both consciously and sub-consciously, are what define your present being. You CREATE the present. Accept that the reason you are who you are is by your choices and actions, REALIZE. See where you want to Improve, VISUALIZE. Make the CHOICE to Change. Take ACTION upon the choices that lead you to SUCCESS.

^^This. I can't tell you how many times I drag myself to the gym thinking, I'm only gonna do 15 minutes of cardio, or one set of bicep curls...then I get there and start in on my routine and I get motivated to finish. Because I can't NOT finish once I've started. Or I feel my muscles starting to fatigue and get giddy from it and plow forward. If I'm running, I get my runner's high...get the blood flowing and you'll feel better.0 -
All of what has been said is so so so true.
You had a routine and your routine isn't as perfect as it was before. But that's life! You make plans and then life happens and the plan doesn't work. <---- LEARNED BY EXPERIENCE.
So here's what you have to understand: THAT'S OKAY.
A super organized plan isn't necessary to be awesome. Just DO WHATEVER YOU CAN DO RIGHT NOW. Don't worry about yesterday and don't worry about tomorrow. But how much awesome can you pack into TODAY???
Personally, I make tiny goals. Cook this healthy meal. Accomplish this task. Attend this workout. Do this many pushups, this many jumping jacks, this many squats, etc.
Like Yoovs said - whenever you accomplish the tiny goals you get A BIG FAT CHECKMARK. YOU WIN. Feed off of the positivity to keep the ball rolling. Tiny goals first, and then they get bigger over time.0 -

I think you and Yoovie have said what clicks most for me. But all of the responses are helpful, so thank you to all of you.0 -

My losing track isn't quite about my motivation at the moment, though. Mine is more toward not having much of anything to go on for exercise and not being sure how to handle the decision of what to do, in a sense
I love your advice, and for a lot of people I think it would do them a lot of good...but I don't think it's exactly what I need at the moment. But I do have it quoted for later when I will need it. Because I have a feeling I will eventually. :blushing:
ETA: I feel like I need to say that by "the right clothes" I mean that I have clothes for school and work with me; jeans, khakis, polos, and a few t-shirts (and my sweat pants that I've been sleeping in) -- clothes that aren't meant to get a good work out in. Not in 37 degree weather...I can't get moving fast enough for that just yet. Sorry for that confusion, lol. I don't need brand name running gear to exercise, I have old raggy clothes for that, but I currently only have my "good" clothes with me. I didn't plan everything out well because it was a last minute decision for them to ask me to house sit.0 -

Oh left your raggy clothes behind. Dance your little butt off in your undies. Just close the curtains so the neighbors dont get a good peep show.0
