When you're sick, EAT!

I currently have the flu, and I've had it for several days. The last thing I feel like doing is putting food into my mouth. I haven't been hungry in a few days.

Even though loss of appetite is a common symptom when you're sick with anything, this is just a friendly reminder to eat something. It doesn't matter how big or how small. If you don't, your body starts breaking down fat and producing ketones, which makes you feel nauseous and even less likely to eat (I hope I said that right, my doctor told me that when I told her I felt nauseous).

Anyway, the point is that you won't get better if you don't eat. So for all you sickies out there, take it easy and have some soup!
