Is it okay to eat bread while counting calories..?

I eat whole grain bread, 90 calories per slice. I am not doing a low carb diet by any means but I've noticed many people that are losing weight don't really eat bread at all.... and I haven't lost much weight. Do I have to give it up? Do any of you eat bread? And I'm talkin' like once a day...

    table sugar and lard are ok if you count them accurately...

    yes, bread is fine to consume when counting calories.

    It is only when you put ice cream on the bread that the weight loss stops.

    My motto is anything is good as long as you eat it in moderation and stay at or a little under your calories. You are picking out a good healthy bread to eat. :happy:

    I've lost almost 50 pounds and eat *white* bread, *white* pasta, and/or *white* rice almost every day. I also eat a dessert almost every night after dinner.

    No way I'm going without my breads!

    I'm another one who eats bread every day. I also eat peanut butter, mayonnaise, chips, ice cream, and *gasp* pizza (at least once a week)! Just count the calories and if it fits into your day, eat that bread and enjoy it! It's a good way to get some grains and fiber.

    Unless you have a medical problem with gluten/wheat, bread and its ilk are fine to eat.

    Yes, of course. Wholemeal bread is nutritious and filling.
