pedometers?

I have my lifestyle listed as "Sedentary" because I work a desk job. I'll do pilates as well , & sometimes take an ACTUAL walk, but I have a pedometer app on my phone that tells me how many calories I burned & was wondering if I could log what my results are by the end of the day? or would that be "cheating"?

Thanks guys!

Personally, I would get something like a Fitbit. It's an activity tracker and it syncs with MyFitnessPal. Logging the results would not be cheating. Many people like to exercise enough to "earn" more calories to eat. I'm not in a place where I can do that...I'd get too carried away and over-justify or over-rationalize into eating way too much more.

If you've set yourself up as sedentary then logging intentional exercise isn't double dipping but it probably isn't even close to necessary to eat those back.
