Now is the time to get started if you haven't already. Don't wait til the start of a New Year to work on your health!
My immediate goal is to lose 5 pounds by Christmas. What's your goal? What do you hope to accomplish for your body in the near future?

My goal is to maintain my weight and improve my current fitness level. To me, that means endurance, energy, and long lean muscle.
by the #'s - weigh 129 pounds, and move nike fuel from 2000 to 4000 a day average, and move barre 3 from 1-2 sessions of 10-30 minutes to three sessions of 10-30 minutes... or a total of 45 minutes to an hour and a half a day. That's my 2013 goals and I started last weekend!0 -

To keep maintaining my weight in 2013. Reached my goal in May 2012 (5'6" 146lbs UK dress size 10) and apart from fluctuations of a couple of lbs up and down (which I think is just normal life) I have held my weight steady since.
I never want to weigh anywhere near 179lbs again which is where I started in Aug 2011.0 -
To get to my preliminary goal of being healthy at 140 pounds by Christmas (4.2 pounds to go) c'mon!!0

to wear a size 8 ( haven't done that in 17 years)

Short-term, get to 215lbs by New Year. Pretty tough but doable as long as I watch myself over Christmas and don't go overboard with the food.
Long term, to be fit and healthy by this time next year. Ideally around 160lbs, but as long as I feel happy and healthy then I'm ok with that even if it is over 160lbs.0 -
I would like to get down to 195 by New Years. That would make a total loss of 50 lbs since June 18th of this year.0
-
My goal is to get my weight down from the top of the overweight range for my height to the top of the normal range by 1st May next year - and to learn how to dance!0

My next scale goal is to weigh 132.4 pounds, which will be a 100 pound loss from my highest weight in 2007, and maintain it.
Fitness goals are to run the half marathon I signed up for in April in less than 2 1/2 hours and to be able to do one set of unassisted dips and pullups.0 -

I want to do 6 5k's in 2013, and start training for a 10k. I want to lose 40 more pounds by May 1st, which will be my 1 year anniversary on MFP. I want to (and plan to) start lifting heavier also, just waiting for weights as my Christmas present.
I also *want* to start playing Roller Derby in the summer of 2013, but will need to make sure my back is up for it (chronic sciatica that I am hoping the weight loss will help enough to skate).
Also plan to finish 30 Day Shred before Christmas. On level 2 now!0 -
