Thigh gaps...are they really that important?

I often see posts about thigh gaps and what they are. Posts asking "how do I get one?" Are they that important? I'm fairly certain I don't have the genetics to get one on my own. So...I'm thinking of asking my plastic surgeon to install one. He needs to make his money! I wonder if it would work. Can he do that? Do I want a thigh gap? Does it matter? Will hubby love me more?

For gravy sake! It had been a month since I'd seen those two words together! Oh I was so enjoying the absence.
Anyhow.
Some women cannot have them no matter how hard they work out.
Some women will always have one even if they get heavy.
it's about bone structure.0 -
Depends on who you're asking. If you're asking someone who gets their jollies from them, yes they are important. If you're asking someone who doesn't, no , they aren't important.0

Of course they're important! Thigh gaps are hot! And everyone has the genetics to have a thigh gap, every skeleton has a thigh gap.0

i read somewhere on a random thread (def not here lol) that having your thighs touch makes your vajayjay warmer. i have no idea if this is true or not, but it kind of makes sense lol.0

So once I'm done decomposing I'll have a thigh gap???0 -

 I hadn't read that but it certainly makes sense!0 -
I don't have them and probably never will. I have big hips and even though I have already lost some inches in that area, I will probably never have thigh gaps. And I'm ok with it! If I can have a flat stomach and tonned legs, I AM HAPPY!0

I love collar bones, but the other pictures are too anorexic looking. I don't think thigh gaps are that attractive, the only plus for me would be saving the material on my pants in between my thighs...not having them get worn or pilled so easily.0 -

That is some dirty talk right there!
I prefer to call them chin rests....not thigh gaps.0 -
To me, they look nice
It really depends on the person. Some people care, some don't, some don't know what that is, etc.0 -
No. They're not an indictor of health, beauty, or anything other than that genetics dictated you have slim thighs and a wide set pelvis.0

Makes complete sense to me!!! I have lost many inches there and still will never have a gap. I'm ok with it!0 -
To me, the only important 'thigh gaps' are the ones that create two legs and privates, as opposed to no 'gap' and no privates. *shrug*0

You don't necessarily need a gap to save the material!!! I don't have a gap (and never will) but I'll lost enough inches that my legs don't rub and cause forest fires when I walk. My pantyhose are no longer disposable...they last quite a while. LOL0
