I'm tempted to buy this for the hubby as part of his Christmas gift. Not that he needs another gift since I've already bought him a ton... lol. This is the kit featured on the AMC's "Walking Dead" and is currently on sale on Amazon for $265. Guys out there, thoughts? Convince me in or out of buying this!

Whoops, that should say Kit not Guide.0

IMO get a zombie costume and do some seriously weird role playing.
Walking Dead is OK, but if you want to go 265 for something I recommend something electronic or something that can serve a purpose lol. If he's a big zombie fan go for it though! If it was me I'd be like cool, but I'd rather have a PS3 or Xbox with the Walking dead game collection :drinker:0 -
I would be happy to receive this as a Christmas gift0

wow your an awesome wife.. I'd love that. lol0

I saw the inventor of the crovel on Doomsday Preppers. Very nifty! I actually considered getting it but at the time it was on backorder and I thought it was a little pricy at $110. But it IS cheaper then the Gerber Kit and maybe more versitle. I'll have to go check out the website again!
My man already has an Xbox . He's currently getting into prepping so I thought it would be a cute gift for him.0 -
I am seriously about to buy that.0

Since he's into prepping, it's a neat kit, but for $265, you could easily pick up a nice machete, knife & axe, and have money left over to head to the local firearm store for a decent firearm. A good firearm should be in any prepper's kit.

I agree journeyman. We are actually planning to go to the DEC gunshow to pick up some guns and ammo. A handgun and ammo was already on his gift list. And maybe one for me as well if the prices are good. But he already knows about that gift... lol. I've also aready gotten him a nice machette a couple of knives for father's day, and I just got him a good multitool as a just becasue gift. No axe yet though... I guess getting the Gerber Zombie Kit would be somewhat redundent as he probably has about half the items already but it seemed to be in a nifty sturdy carry bag to lug it all in when in a hurry. Hmm... maybe just a good axe and a crovel then??
Have I mentioned that I like spoiling my man... This is not healthy for my bank account... lol!0 -
I am seriously about to buy that.
Do it!! I would totally buy it without thinking so hard if we didn't have a few items in the kit already and I haven't already bought or plan to buy a whole bunch of other things for him... lol!0 -
Thanks for the input everyone! I think I'm gong to buy him the crovel and nax instead since he has half the gear in the kit.0
