1,200 Calories. Too high or too low?

IMO 1200 for most would equal LBM being burnt and ultimately when you over eat, easier to put fat on on as a result.0

Hi I am new to this but I am as confused as Valal - I am 5ft, weight 135lbs and am 33 - sedentary although hoping to change that over time. My cals have been calculated at 1200 by MFP - am keeping within them but really struggling to keep within protein guide of 45g. I cant work out where I am going wrong.......
I am also really hungry and have been all day!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated x0 -
i don't want to thread steal or anything, but if 1200 is too low..why is that often what MFP selects for people?
with my parameters it put me at 1270, and i think i entered "lightly active", not even sedentary. Gosh..what would sedentary be? 1000??
i had mine up slightly..only to 1400 while i started the 30 day shred. i gained weight i don't know if it was from the calorie intake or the muscle soreness/water retention but i freaked and put it back down to 1270.
it's just so confusing.. i don't even know what to do anymore. MFP says one thing, you all say another.. *sigh*
MFP sets 1200 calories as you NET goal. This means that if you exercise and it burns 300 calories, you should be eating 1500 calories a day to get to 1200 NET calories. That is they way this site is designed to work. I use it differently. I've figured out my TDEE and set that manually as my calorie goal as a ceiling. This way, I don't have to worry about calculating exercise calories, as those are included in my TDEE number.0 -

see..that helps. now the only challenge is finding out the true calories burned since most are grossly inaccurate. thanks0
