    Hmmm not sure they do them willy nilly here in the UK, it is for medical needs only (bone density, etc)...but I did see that they charge a whopping £72 if you do not fit any of the medical criteria necessary for a scan...yikes!!! (that equates to about $116)

    I've seen many report about $225 US for their area. Probably depends on the hospital doing it and how busy they are. If they really don't need outside tests not ordered by a DR because they are busy enough anyway, seems in those cases they charge the full-blown non-insurance adjusted amount.

    Seen some where they need those outside tests to help pay for the equipment I suppose because smaller office, and they charge less.

    Our local university does that with the Bodpod. Used for studies done there of course, but since not used all the time, they sell packages for $35. Several gym's charge $50 though, I guess forgetting the Walmart example of cheaper but more sales.

    VO2max test, only 3 places locally, and all charge about the same. Hospital just uses their normal stuff used for heart patients. Other places bring their stuff to a gym.
