Eating too much sugar?

I've just swapped logging sodium intake, because I've noticed that my sodium intake is always well within the boundaries, and sugar is always way too high. I understand why it's so high on days where I've eaten something sweet (like sweets or chocolate) but even without these I'm way over. If you look at my diary you'll see that today I ate pretty healthily, and everything else is under, but my sugar is 25g to high? My apple was half my daily amount! Surely to keep within the limits I'd have to literally eat barely any fruit at all?

Any advice? I just think I need a bit of clarification. :) Thanks guys!

If you are eating healthy whole foods and little processed sugar, don't even worry about it (unless you are diabetic or the doctor has told you to worry about it!).

Don't track sugar, it's pointless since you are already logging total carbs which includes all the sugar you eat anyway. I'm diabetic and even I don't bother tracking sugar.

If your sodium is always fine, switch out that spare tracking slot for something more interesting, potassium maybe... or vary it just for fun.
