I started NROLFW today, and since I'm working out at home with no access to a cable machine I substituted Barbell Row for the Seated Row. My question is...where in the world are my elbows supposed to go? When I pull back (up?) should my elbows go out like a bird or stay close to my side? Does it matter? I just really don't think I was doing this one right ha!

You can also use a band wrapped around something and do the seated rows like that...it works to

I'm not sure on the answer to your question since I have a cable system. But I wanted to tell you that there is a NROL4W group on here in case you didn't know about it. There is all kinds of great information on there and maybe one of the ladies could help you. I agree with ubermensch13 though, I would google it! Good luck.

Generally out at more of a 45 degree angle, but exact position is not too critical. It should feel natural and not forced.

Can't really gauge the weight to progress, though.

Thanks everyone! I looked at a couple YouTube vids...it appears it should be somewhere in between, where they naturally fall. It would also appear I was aiming too high up on my chest, and that I should actually be pulling towards my abs and not my bewbs.

Yeah, don't hit yourself in the boobs. Barbells can bruise. :p

The tips on form I have been given are to pull to the bottom of your ribcage, and to try and make the pull a mirror movement to the bench press (ie elbows at about 45 degrees).
