I'm NEW! 8 weeks postpartum. Time to shed the baby weight!

Hello, my name is Angelique. I'm new and would like to gain supporters and friends that have been through the whole weight loss diet and excorsize thing. Growing up i was very active, i did a couple years of soccer, rode horses for 6 years and did MMA and Karate for about 4. I got pregnant, had my son and then three months later got pregnant again so i have not been active at all and im nothing like i used to be. I'm ready to get this weight off. Shopping for clothes is depressing. Before i got pregnant i was 140 and got up to 225 and now im 195. Please stay with me through this experience, i'd love to know im not alone and have help and advice along the way. I'm very motivated. I need to get healthy and happy with my body once again.

Hi! It's awesome that you've come here so early in your postpartum experience -- I tried to go it alone and lose the baby weight, but I struggled with it and only lost 2 pounds over 5 months of working out and "eating better". Came here 20ish days ago and it's been a lot smoother sailing! Makes a huge difference to track what you eat!

You can add me if you'd like. I'd love to encourage you though I still have quite a ways to go myself.

I'm Jill, 27 years old, almost 6 months postpartum. Make sure you alot yourself extra calories for breastfeeding (if you are).

Love the attitude ad spunk! You will definitely pick things back up and get back to your pre children weight. You seem to have the motivation and desire and all your friends at mfp will make sure you stay on track all the way. Good luck and glad to see you here!

Good luck! I've been there, know how hard it can be with the littlies. I'm still going, not quite back to where I want to be...18 months later after kid number #2, and 4 years of being preggi or breastfeeding, lol. The first 6 - 9 months is apparently the best time to loose the baby weight especially if you're breastfeeding, after that it's supposed to get harder and that's what I've found. Just wish I'd heard that earlier!

i am going to send you an add! my baby is about to be 9 months old...and i am finally consistently working at getting the weight off. i went from 120 at the beginning of my relationship with my bf, gained 10 cus I started eating as much as he did at every meal, then went from 130-195 ( between a miscarriage, and then pregnancy to the day of delivery) and it settled at 180 after delivery. i am currently 163/164.

We can do this! I am going to friend request you!
