Ladies- Question about calories and that time of the month

I've been on and off MFP for a long time. A couple of weeks ago, I started logging everything again and trying to really watch my calories. I've had some good days and bad, lost a couple pounds; however, I wonder if this is messing with my period. I was supposed to start last Saturday, and I did, but it stopped by Sunday. That is not normal for me. The last couple of days I have felt extra hungry and have eaten more than I have been since logging again..... and lo and behold, my period is back again.
It might worth noting that I went off hormonal bc three months ago. I was using the patch but have switched to a diaphragm. I know I am not pregnant, so that's good. But it seems like hormonal weirdness from going off the patch might have been over with by three months.
Comments? Ideas? Suggestions? Thanks in advance.

If you are eating too few calories that could cause menstrual issues. Even though your weight loss might be slower, it's good to make sure you get enough to eat!
It very well could be the birth control as well.0 -
Stress can also mess with your menstral cycle.0

I am way more hungry on my period and normally go about 3-500 over so I just go to the gym everyday when I'm on it.....0
