If you need attention, go to the humane society and get a puppy...if you need advice on how to lose weight/get fit/be healthy, go back to your original post and see all the great advice people who know what it takes are giving you...0

You have several excellent replies on your first topic, so I'm not sure what you're complaining about. When I was new and posted a topic about a HRM, literally NO ONE responded. But instead of getting all butthurt about it, I did my own research and got the information I needed. Perhaps you should go back to your original post and read the replies.0

Maybe its not an interesting post. Maybe you whined in it as much as you did this post and people don't want to encourage it. Why don't you link the post on here and we figure out why people didn't respond.
Side note: One of my big pet peeves here is that you haven't filled out your profile or put a pic in. (It doesn't have to be a pic of you but the blue guy is annoying) To me and I think for a lot of people it sets an impression of that you haven't taken the time to tell us about yourself and that your not serious about your journey. If this is an "extra profile" you created because you didn't want to post this thread because you'd be embarrassed about whining about how nobody responds to your posts, suck it up and post under your true profile. If you have to be anonymous then your probably doing something that you shouldn't. Stand behind what you say.

The question you asked is pretty generic... and you posted at like 6:30 in the morning. Most people don't get on until later, and the forums have a high post turnover rate.

Lately I post stuff that no one responds to lol...makes me feel really lonely and stupid for posting. It's okay though because I soon realize I'm super cool and awesome and I just end up figuring stuff out on my own.

OP - its the internet. Don't worry about it. Sometimes posts don't get responded to. Best to rephrase your question when that happens and ask a more specific question.

Sometimes, posts get responses, sometimes they don't. Bump it back to the top if nobody responds - don't be overly sensitive. It IS an online message board...
This ^^. Open it, and repy with "BUMP" or "Anyone?" or something like that. There is a lot of activity on these forums so posts move to the bottome quickly.0 -

Hey it happens... I posted some progress photos th other day and got nothing for hours .... I was so worried. There are so many posts on here that they get lost very quick. If it happens again I suggest deleting the post and repost.... the next day at a different time0

Don't know if I should feel hurt or not. I posted a topic and it seems to be the only one that doesn't get any responses.....wow.
The original topic got it's first reply not 10 minutes after this was posted this morning.. and now has two pages of replies.
Also, as I pointed out earlier, the original topic was posted at 6:30 in the morning.. and since no one gets on until later, and floods the forum with posts, it got lost until people went back a few pages and noticed it.0 -

Is this what's wrong with the world today? No one wants to be told how it is. We all just want positive affirmations and kitten kisses. If it's not what we want to hear, we pan it as rude and complain about it.
The site is very positive. People are very helpful here. Great advice is given, including to your original post. They are quick to pick us up when we're discouraged about legitimate concerns, and to congratulate us in our victories no matter how small.
The people who gripe about the negativity are generally the people who post silliness like the original post in this thread. It accomplishes nothing. I would have had respect for it if the OP had said "Hey guys, I guess my post got lost in the shuffle, here's my question:" but instead we just got a whiny, senseless post. And the OP is being called out on it.
We are all adults here. You can get glad in the same panties you got mad in.0 -
