Am I doing something wrong ?

Could someone please have a look at my recent diary entries and see if theres something obvious stopping my weight loss ? I felt like i'd tried really hard this week and have worked out really hard yet 2 days before my weigh in I'm 1.2lb up on last week !

All suggestions and advice welcome :)

Thanks in advance

Louise x

I was going to offer my input but I barely recognize any of the food in your diary! Haha you must not be from the US  My only real advice would be not to stress about such a small difference in weight. Weight fluctuates a LOT on a day to day basis (for me, upwards of 5 pounds). So it could be so many things, likely not fat.

From a quick look you never eat any fruit, salad or vegetables (bar mushy peas) and your food is all processed and full of sodium which if you believe the majority makes you retain water.

Try getting some fresh food into your diet and seeing how you go.

Put your macro settings at 40% carbs/30% protein/30% fat and try to stick to those numbers as close as you can. You definately need more protein. I would also suggest eating less carbs from starches, such as bread, and consume carbohydrates from fresh fruit and green/ leafy vegetables. Try to focus on calories in vs. calories out. You should calculate your total daily energy expenditure (TDEE) to ensure you are not consuming too many calories, especially if you are not exercising. Here's a link to calculate TDEE. http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators.html

Also, try to monitor the sodium content in the food you are eating. Processed food has a lot of sodium, which can make you retain water if you don't consume enough water and I think you eat a lot of processed food. I'm not an expert, but I've read a lot info about these tips.

Agree with this! I was having a similar issue, actually.. I was eating the amount of calories I was supposed to and exercising, but my weight wasn't going anywhere. It helps a lot to add in the fruits, vegetables and natural foods. The "boxed" stuff does nothing for your health.

Thanks this is really helpful :) My TDEE has worked out at 2437 and I try and stick to 1370 but on the days I excersise my net calrioes are usually under 1000

I think the last week ive ate so much frozen/procssed food because i've been unable to food shop due to the flooding so the sodium may be because of that
