Does anybody know if it helps if you go under your cal goal the next day because you went way over the day before. Or has the damage been done and you can't do anything to fix it????

Some people do that on purpose. As long as your weekly average balances out, you will be fine. :happy:0

You can but I wouldn't go overboard with it, it's an unhealthy mindset to feel the need to make up for a "bad" day by excessive exercise or undereating, better to just get back on track and be consistent0 -
I try to balance out over the week. Generally I try to be consistent but I have a life.... Some deliberately calorie cycle. I agree don't get too hung up on it just dont let a bad day become a bad month but no problem with going for a big burn the next day and being a bit lower (net) the next couple of days.0

In the past, I've done this to break through a plateau. If my daily calorie intake is 2000 calories, I might eat 1500 two days in a row and then eat 2500 the next two days. I did this for a week or two and it worked!0

I always do this: I eat a bit less Monday-Thursday so I can indulge more Friday-Sunday. So long as my weekly average is on target then I'm happy and it hasn't affected my rate of loss (average just over 1lb per week).0
