I cant break my plateau!

Help I cant break out of my plateau! Ive been stuck at the same weight for 6 weeks. 2 weeks ago I increased my cardio and now Ive incorporated weights into my workouts. I also have increased my calories a little bit but still no change except I gained 2 pounds. I have read that some people dont work out for a week and their plateau brakes. Im considering doing this but Im worried i'll gain weight. Has anyone broke this cycle and what did you do to break this cycle?
