Bodymedia or HRM?

I am debating on getting a Bodymedia but not too sure if I am excited about wearing it 24/7? and does it read heart rate during cardio? Or getting a HRM watch that shows me my HR during cardio (for HIIT etc) then my accurate calorie burn. Suggestions? THANKS

No, the Bodymedia does not look at your heart rate.

I think it depends on what you want. Do you want a device that you wear all day that gives you your overall burn, or do you want a device that you wear only while you exercise that (allegedly) gives a more accurate calorie burn?

I have a Bodybugg, Fitbit, and HRM. I have used the HRM for a year and a half and really like it. The calorie burn is interesting, but I especially like the other information provided to me about my heart rate particularly during endurance training (longer distance runs).

I also just got a fitbit and love it - but it doesn't always give a full picture of my exercise. I override exercise numbers with my HRM.

I hate the Bodybugg. I hate wearing it on my arm, I have the clunky web interface, I hate that it doesn't have a display right on it like the fitbit.

I have a bodybugg (same thing different marketing company) and I wear it from 5am to 10pm, after the first couple days I don't even notice it. It doesn't monitor heart rate but it monitors 4 other factors. I have a HRM as well and I've compared them doing cardio and it's within like 20 calories, but I love my bodybugg because it showed me how little I was moving during the day. The only thing I don't care for is that it isn't accurate when riding a bike because your arms are so stationary.
