Hello all,
Heather here. I'm new to the site. This is day 2. I'm still figuring out how it all works but so far, so good. I run (slowly) and lift heavy weights regularly. I have always thought I was fat - well at least since I was about 14 - and even thought I was fat when I reached my lifetime goal weight of 119lbs last year. Unfortunately my partner and various other people thought I looked scrawny, and I didn't really believe that the person in the mirror was really me. So 12 months on and...21lbs on. So I'm back to worse than I was before I managed a successful diet.
The good side is I am stronger than ever before, and thoroughly enjoying the routine, discipline and self commitment to regular strength training. Now I need to apply those skills to what I eat and drink. I'm hoping that this site, which was recommended to me by my strength training coach, will help me do that.
Just back from a wonderful Thanksgiving in Atlanta. Clocked up the half marathon then enjoyed a wonderful traditonal turkey dinner afterwards. Also made homemade pecan pie and pumpkin pie with my American buddies, and ate and drank many more calories than was necessary. So now I'm all fuelled up to lose a bit of weight and be a bit healthier with what I eat.
Thanks for listening.

Sounds like you have a great routine and are set up for success! That's what I'm doing right now as well, lifting and running.0
