Hello All - My name is Kathy. I am 44 years old and loving this new website. I've tried many diets (if not all of them) and continue to stay above the 230 mark. Currently I'm at 231. I hope this site will help me stay on track and get better at eating right and maybe even start moving more. My family invested in a wii with the wii fit plus which is a fun way to excersise and play with the kids at the same time. I'm not the best cook and that has caused weight problems for me. I would really like suggestions on easy recipes that can be made in a hurry. I live in So. CA and have a minimum hour commute to and from work. It gets me home around 6:30 each night and doesn't leave much prep time for dinner before kids need to go to bed. I look forward to meeting new friends and getting and giving motivation.:blushing:

Welcome to the site Kathy! This is a great tool for keeping track of calories and exercise, and the motivation & support offered here are fantastic!
I have a friend who has a Weight Watcher's cook book called Now & Later. It basically has you put aside a few of the ingredients or leftovers aside for the next night's dinner. Her & her husband LOVE it, and they've lost weight on it too. It might be a good option for healty and quick meals for your family.
One day at a time, & you'll get there!

Hi Kathy,
I am new to and have lost 5 pounds this week. Vegetables are hard for me so at the beginning of the week I dice any vegetables I have or that are at the end of their life (small dices) and saute them in about tbsp of olive oil. Then I add them to anything I am eating that week. Canned chili, with some spaghetti sauce for spaghetti or stuffed peppers, in tortillas with some chicken. It bulks out my meals making me feel fuller without adding to my calories. Hope this helps. You can do it.0
