Is it syncing throughout the day? I can't sync mine until I get home at night, so all day the calories I "can" eat go down on my page since Fitbit doesn't know I'm moving/exercising. Once I get home and it syncs, the calories I can eat go back up to where they should be. I'll also see a small flux downward at the end of the night after a couple hours of inactivity. It's just the way the Fitbit site adjusts. But, it's never a large difference.0

It does sync throughout the day. I went from 3 calories under to 13 under to 3 over to 15 over.0

I recently got this message from the MFP people:
"Dear MyFitnessPal Users of Fitbit, BodyMedia, MIO, and Striiv,
We've been looking closely at the question of how best to incorporate the calorie data from these devices. While we have further improvements on the way, we're announcing an update today that will let you customize the way your tracker's data affects your daily calorie goal.
We've added a setting that controls how calorie adjustments lower than zero are accounted for in your Exercise Diary.
A negative calorie adjustment means that your projected calorie burn for the day from the partner is below MyFitnessPal's initial estimate. By default, negative calorie adjustments will now be changed to a value of zero. If you prefer, you may opt to enable negative calorie adjustments to appear, which will decrease your food calorie goal on low-activity days.
We recommend leaving negative adjustments off, if:
- you do not expect to wear your tracking device consistently
- your device can only sync occasionally, or only late in the day
- you wish to use the device only for the motivational experience of earning additional calories from exercise
We recommend enabling negative adjustments if:
- you expect to wear your tracking device consistently
- your device is able to sync its data multiple times over the course of the day
- you would like the most accurate calorie feedback MyFitnessPal can provide
To enable negative calorie adjustments, log in to your account at http://www.myfitnesspal.com, then go to My Home > Settings > Diary settings.

I assume you're referring to the "calories you can eat for the day" section? The counts from Fitbit do fluctuate and readjust between what it's expecting you to burn and what your fitbit records for activity throughout the day. I think you can change that in your settings by taking it off "personalized". But, I wouldn't get too hung up on it unless you start seeing huge discrepancies like a couple hundred calories. a 28 calorie difference at the end of the day isn't going to change anything. Just know that if you keep your settings personalized, Fitbit will adjust down if you spend the end of the day completely inactive and plan accordingly.0
