Ok so here's my story. Three years ago I had my beautiful daughter, gaining a ridiculous amount of weight during the pregnancy (65 lbs). Before I had her I weighed about 110 lbs, which on my small framed 5'4" was fine. After I lost weight from the pregnancy i got down to 140lbs. Over the last 2 years I've gained 15lbs taking me back up to 155lbs, my all time high with the exception of when I was pregnant. When I first realized what I had gotten up to I almost cried. I made the goal to lose 30 lbs by the time I turn 30 in October of this year (or maybe a little more). my goal weight is between 120 and 125lbs( I'll know which when I get there). I've been on this site for about 2 weeks now. I follow the calorie guidlines and I do 30 min of cardio everyday and strength training 3 days a week for 40 min a day. I've lost 5 lbs and an inch around my belly and an inch around my hips! My goal seems attainable and this little victory has made all the effort worth it. I'm in a better mood overall since I started working out, I have more energy and I've had a significant decrease in my asthma symptoms. Just wanted to share that with everyone especially those just starting out.
