Landmarks to shoot for

Setting intermediate goals is import- ant to reaching one's ultimate goal. Some of those are pretty universal (50 lbs, 100 lbs, halfway to goal, etc), other goals are more personal. What are yours? Heres a few of mine.

My starting weight : 287 lb
My Goal Weight: 199 lb

Intermediate landmarks.

270 lbs - My starting weight the last time I started a weight loss program and approximately what I weighed when I graduated law school. (2003/2004)
245 - 250 lbs - Approximately what I weighed when I got married (1997)
240 lbs - My weight the year I moved to the Midwest.
225- 235 lbs - My weight though my college years.
199 lbs (my goal) - My weight the year I graduated high school.
185lbs - My weight the year after I graduated college (post weight loss).

Looking at my history, I can take pride that I am no longer the fattest I ever was, but clearly I have new benchmarks to shoot for.

  • I haven't been slim as a teen or adult but didn't really weigh myself so I don't have targets like that.

I am trying to focus on 7 pounds at a time as the total seems scary!

My main goal is to get healthy. Maybe I need to think of some more specific ones!

Well done on your progress so far!
