Pole Fitness

I recently bought a groupon to a pole fitness class in my neighborhood. It's always something I've wanted to try for fun, but it's definitely out of my comfort zone.

Have any of you tried it before? What should I wear/expect? Did you see any results?

  • Don't put lotion on for the duration if the day you plan on going. Wear shorts, not pants to class. Remember that it takes time to progress and have fun!

My session with pole dancing was a free invite. I really enjoyed it and I was made to feel really welcome but I don't think I would be prepared to shave my legs each time - the hairs drag when you grip the pole with your thighs and it is a pain I am not willing to put up with!

Yes, I'm male - yes I went pole dancing and no - it wasn't outside my comfort zone, I really enjoyed it as a one off. I've also put a bit too much weight on since I went to do it comfortably; working on it.
