what is a flax muffin and where can i get one. 2nd question has anyone replaced a meal with a jamba juice shake or protein drink

Replies

  • First question- try health food stores. Im not sure where exactly tho. sorry.
Second question- Protein shakes are good meal replacements. I used to use them for breakfast cause my stomach hurts in the morning, so a shake would be a lot better than food. And if you get the right kind, they fill you up. Herba life works so good! And they taste great too.

I add flax to all my homemade muffins, blender drinks & to my morning oatmeal....

Buy the seeds whole & then gring them in a coffee grinder or mini chopper.
(the reason for that is the body can't absorb the outer shell & will just digest it & all the good stuff is in the inside)

Start with 1/4 teaspoon a day, you can add it to almost anything, you won't notice that it is there & the health benefits are amazing!! :)
  • Hello! So first question--flax is a good fat--if you guy flax seed or ground flax seed you could make your own muffins using only the best of the best ingredients like whole wheat flour, ground flax seed--sucanat for your sugar and sea salt-- of course their are other ingredients in the muffin recipe but if you google flax seen muffins you will find plenty of recipes, just modify as you see fit--avoid the bad white powders ie: refined flour, sugar and salt--alternative are whole wheat flour, spelt flour, sucanat, honey or maple sugar flakes, stevia, and sea or kosher salt. You can get all these ingredients at a Whole Foods or a store similar to Whole Foods.

I do sometimes do a protein shake for a meal replacement but I add greek yogurt, berries, ground flax seed, L-Glutamine, etc--it just depend what typed I'm making--these recipes can also be found online--I would be careful using jamba juice or any smoothie company, because most of their smoothies are full of sugar the white powder poison.

    Well I hope this helps!
