Advice on Calories, please!

I'm VERY new to MFP, but I'm already noticing a pattern w/ my eating: I'll eat things that are low in calories, but high (I guess?) in sugar or protein. For instance, after I work out today, I'll have to eat 771 calories for dinner with only 6g of protein and 3g of sugar remaining! What can I start eating to avoid this problem?

Eat more healthy fat (twice as much calories than the other macros) and vegetables (have less sugar than fruit and the same good stuff). Really, our body does need fat. It works wonders for my health, and weight loss is a nice side effect.
Edit: going over in protein is GREAT if you are following MFP pre-set guidelines which are set too low imo. Going over sugar, if it's from fruit, may or may not be an issue for you, but it is for me.0 -
Consider protein a minimum goal - red = good. (Or raise the defaults - it's under the goals settings.)
