Baking With Stevia

Has anybody baked with Stevia before? I'm going to make these cookies, but want to substitute the 1 cup of sugar with 1 tbsp of Stevia. I've read online that the bulk missing from the sugar can be replaced with applesauce. Any thoughts or suggestions?
