I closed out the month of November at 56,910 calories. (avg 1897 a day) That is the first time I have come in under 60,000 since August 2010; 27 months ago. Considering the 1st 5 months of this year, I was averaging over 2500 daily with one month over 85,000 calories, I feel kinda good about this past month.
Not sure what it is that got me going, but it had a lot to do with the fact after reaching 274 from 419 a little over a year ago, I managed to bounce my blubber back to 300 this spring. That was REALLY discouraging and depressing to me. I've got October 28, 2009 highlighted in my food journal; the day I left the "300 club." Made me mad, and frankly scared hell outta me having bounced back in.
I'm not an idiot...well, I know some may debate that...and I know there will be more times when the jug of booze or carton of ice cream wins. But for this past month, the fat man prevailed, so TOOT TOOT goes my horn.
I'm not really after any "atta boy's" with this post. I guess I just wanted to see it in print, and maybe someone else out there on the great weight rollercoaster ride will get some encouragement.

Well, I think attaboy is completely appropriate.
This is HARD. Losing lots is an incredibly difficult thing to do. and it is difficult, going back over the 'old ground' of weight lost and regained.
You've found a focus. You're moving forward. THis is well worth celebrating. Well done!0 -
