Such a beautiful mindset. I think it's incredibly important to keep things like this in mind when on a fitness journey. We are making our bodies healthy for our own good, not to compete with the ridiculous beauty standards society has put in place. If you're losing weight/building muscle so you can love yourself, you will fail. Lose weight/build muscle BECAUSE you love yourself and because you know your body deserves to be healthy and perform at its best. Forget about what society tells you is "beautiful" or "perfect" and focus on being the best YOU can be. It sounds cheesy and platitudinous, but we so often dismiss the cliches. Don't dismiss this one - it's so, so important.
