Do NOT beat yourself up at your workouts because you think you are "fat" or "lazy". I had the hardest time with that. I was sooo mean to myself!! And that made it even harder. Now i really do appreciate everything that my body does and is capable of. it's an amazing feeling and you actually will start to push yourself harder!!! I love it! Hang in there and hope this might have helped0

I played around with Paint and used a not so flattering picture of myself and pasted the words, "So do you REALLY want to eat that, Sarah?" across it so every time I get the urge to give in to an unhealthy craving or not work out, I look at that picture and it's aaaaaall the motivation I need lol0

My top 3 motivators:
1. the bathing suit and pair of jeans that I used to fit into and dont anymore
2. the energy that my husband has to keep going all day and keep up with the kids - which Im lacking
3. learning that I can control my behavior, that I can win over the food and that I can be a thinner me -- the day to day "winning" over myself has been a HUGE motivator
Oh and 4. MFP.com!0 -
I need motivation too! I do have a tip that helps me...
When I lift weights/ do squats and lunges, I like to be in front of a mirror to watch the body part I'm working. I think about how strong that part is getting. Normally I would beat myself up for having big thighs (always have, even when thin) but now I look at them and think about how strong my legs are!
Looking at this site several times a day provides a lot of motivation. Seeing others post about meeting goals and getting in workouts makes me want to work harder. I did some strength training earlier but stopped because my 7 month old was crying. He has not settled down and I'm doing to head to the basement for a little cardio. I have NO EXCUSE not too. My health is more important than any housechores and tv shows!
Just remember YOU CAN DO THIS!!! Every little bit helps!0
