Is the calories counter accurate on MFP???

I've noticed the last two workouts on the elliptical that the calories on the machine are different from MFP . For example I did 1 hour and the machine said I killed around 620 cals but MFP says I killed 720.
I assume the machine in more accurate since it knows how hard you are working and how high or low you set the resistance.
Do you guys edit your MFP entries so they are accurate?

I change mine!!
I have a HRM so I log those calories...EXAMPLE: If I enter that I hiked 85 minutes on MFP, it tells me I burned 906 calories..
My HRM tells me I only burned 769.
Not too sure about an elliptical??
I DO know MFP is always estimating OVER what I actually burned.0 -
in both cases they're only there as a estimate.
The only true way to find your calorie burn is to use a heart rate monitor and then enter the information into a heart rate calorie burn converter after your session.0
