30 Day Shred Ab Exercises Question

Ok, I am absolutely in love with my progress so far and I'm still on the 1st level. I take pics to keep focus on what's working and what's not and although my stomach and waist have decreased overall in size, from my side shots ... the front looks ... bigger. Like it's sticking out more and flat. (I hope I'm describing this correctly.)

My question is to anyone that had a good bit of weight to lose that tried 30 Day Shred and did you experience this too? Did you skip on the abs part of the workout or what? I think I need to lose more weight before I work on my stomach like this
