How do I post steps taken in a day?

I just got a FitBit and I love that it tracks how much I walk (both regular steps and stairs climbed) during the day. I'd like to be able to log this info at the end of the day here in myfitnesspal.com, but I cannot seem to find a way to do it. If I log it as "walking," it wants to know how many minutes, and I don't have an answer for that. I cannot edit the calories, it always wants to compute that (the FitBit displays not only steps but calories).

Is there some way to enter number of steps taken off of a pedometer-type device? If not, and the people who run the site read these posts, please consider this a request. Thanks!

I have a fitbit and I don't log my steps (Not sure if there's a way), but if the activity that my fitbit tracks is higher than my calories that i have set in MFP, when it syncs it will show me the extra calories I "earned" and have available :)

I am wanting to add my daily steps too and I hope that the site designers could add it as it is a common recording tool. So I support your request.

I would also like to have the option of deleting some foods that I have entered into the database because I have made a couple of mistakes by not double checking before I saved.

I googled and found this information......hope it helps.......2000 steps = approximately a mile, so 10,000 would be 5 miles. You will burn on average, about 100 calories per mile traveled. So, you will burn about 500 extra calories by walking the 10,000 steps. If you do this every day you will lose about a pound a week, since 1 pound =3500 calories.
