Hi, when is the best time to weigh yourself? Do people usually wear very little when they weigh in?

Once a month. It can take 4 to 6 weeks or longer for changes in diet or exercise to start appearing on the scale and if you get caught up in that, it can drive you nuts!
As far as what to wear, I think the general consensus seems to be first thing in the morning, after using the bathroom, buck naked....
Whatever you choose to do, just make sure you are consistent. Remember, your weight can fluctuate a LOT from morning to evening or from day to day depending on a trillion different factors. However time and again, weight loss tracked over time will show a downward trend when you are doing this right. I have seen my weight go up ten pounds over night before, only to drop again a few days later.
Make sure to take measurements, pictures or use other ways to measure progress as well. They will often be more reliable and telling than the scale will ever be.0 -
Personal choice, I like watching trends so I weigh once every few days.0

at one point i was weighing in 2-3 times a day!! i started to ween myself off the scale. first just once a week, then once a month. now i jump on the scale more out of curiosity.
i concentrate on how i look in the mirror, and how i feel.
but if you are going to weigh in, weigh in weekly, and the morning after a rest day. do it after the bathroom, before you eat or drink anything.0 -
Thanks for the feedback, folks. I'm definitely changing how I weigh myself as a result.0
