Your invited to my pity party

So, I'm having a giant pity party today. I typically run 3 times/week. I have been ignoring a nagging hip issue for about a month now. It got bad enough that I decided to rest it following the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. So, today. it is 65 beautiful degrees in southwest Missouri and I thought I was doing much better, so I went out for a run. I didn't make it 1/4 mile before I had to quit and continued to walk for another 1 1/2 miles and even THAT was painful. I'm just so bummed. It is even affecting my psyche! I am usually a sweet and easy to get along with gal : ) and I find that when I can't exercise I get anxious and easily annoyed. Does anyone out there have any coping methods that worked when an injury caused you to have to take a break from exercise? My family would probably appreciate it as much as me. LOL!

Go to the doctor!! They can help you fix it and get you back to running.
You can also take up non-hip things, like strength training for upper body0 -
try running in the pool as an interim workout, or just swimming in the pool0
