Under desk excercise equipment?

I spend a lot of my day sitting... my drive to work is about 65 miles and I have a desk job. I go to the gym at lunch and do the butt squeezes thing while sitting and stand up while on conference calls, but I'm sure I could be doing more. I've seen a couple different kind of under desk excercisers and am wondering, does anyone here use one and if so, what do you use and how do you like it?

When I read the title, I was thinking 'under the table' deals, so thought you were looking for black market exercise equipment. =B

Honestly, they say just fidgeting helps. You could get one of those foot rollers to aid circulation or switch to a balance ball/balance ball chair?

Develop a nervous leg. Twiddle with pens. It all apparently helps!</CouldBeBroScience>

Squeeze ball for your spare hand?

Firm sponge between knees and squeeze? Firm sponge between a knee and underside of desk and either lift knee or press upwards with calf muscle?

Forget where I read it, but apparently making sure you never go more than an hour without standing up and walking a bit helps your body not go into a stall mode as far as burning calories. Also helps circulation and metabolism.

stand up while on conference calls

Bend forwards to look at PC screen, hold position, don't use hands to rest on desk - activates lower back muscles. Kinda like a static straight leg dead lift without any weights.

~ I have an under the desk " bike " and I love it ! I haven't used it much lately because I have been biking outside in this gorgeous weather ... but as soon as the season comes full swing ... back to my desk bike !

I struggle with the exact same issue! Take a walk on your breaks/lunch. Park as far away as you can. Become a leg jiggler. Twiddle your thumbs. Drink a lot of water. Thats all I can think of and I do these. If nothing else, it makes me not as stiff from sitting so long!

I could use these. Lower back has been really sore and I think its just because I'm not exercising them. :)

Sit on a Swiss ball instead of a chair?
