Living in a hotel for a month- food tips?

Hi!
I have a new job in London and my company is putting me up in a hotel until my partner and I can find a house to move into. This is really great of them! But I'm a little anxious about how I'm going to continue to eat healthily when I don't have anywhere to cook!
I have breakfast provided in the hotel every morning but some tips on eating out healthily, or things that I can buy that would make good lunches/evening meals (and aren't too expensive!) would be great

I guess it would depend on whether the room you have has a fridge in it.
If you're eating out: Ditch the buns/bread on sandwiches, and as much fried foods as possible. If you get a choice of a side, try to make it a baked potato (plain with any trimmings on the side), or sliced tomatoes - sometimes they'll have fruit. Go for grilled/broiled over anything fried. Ask them to go easy on the butter/salt on anything that's prepared with it. Avoid cream or cheese sauces if possible.
With breakfast: eggs, and lots of them. Fruit, and lots of it. Easy on the breads, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles, pastries, biscuits....wraps are probably okay.
just a few suggestions....0 -
Is there a microwave in the room? You can do canned soup that way. If there's a fridge pre-cooked chicken, cold meats for sandwiches, yogurt, salads. Not the best option sodium wise but better than eating out all the time.0

Buy a box of your favorite protein bars and keep them in your room, and one in your bag. Many days I'll have just one of these and a clementine for lunch if I know that I'm going out for dinner, etc. that night. Helps me keep my cals in check for the day if I know that dinner will be a little heavier on the calorie count than usual.0

Thanks for the replies! There definitely won't be a microwave in the hotel room, but there is one in the kitchen at my new workplace. Also a fridge there too (don't know if there will be one in the hotel room, possibly...) so I can always do a hot meal at lunch and eat fruit, protein bars, etc for dinner to avoid eating out every night.
Some good tips so far, thanks I was thinking about salad bars/deli counters in supermarkets too? (I'm in the UK)
I'm sure we will eat out in the evenings some- I like exploring new places to eat! But I'll bear in mind all your suggestions so it can still be fun and healthy
Keep the suggestions coming!0
