Trying to get back on the horse

I lost my motivation a while ago and since I hit a bump and was crazy busy I just gave up on myself. I even returned to eating my emotions and bordum eating I was so dissapointed in myself but that only made it worse. I am BACK to 132.4 lbs and not fitting into my jeans- I went to buy new jeans but that process re-awakened my desire to lose the weight so I joined a gym for the first time and I'm back. To help myself w/ my personal issues: eating crappy food because I'm bored and then eating crappier food because I'm mad at myself for eating crappy food in the first place- I threw out all my junk food and restocked my fridge and pantry with healthy foods.
I was hoping someone could give me some advice: I have heard a lot of things about the 'best ways to burn fat' but one thing that I hear consistantly is walking/running. Is this true? If so, how can I keep my body from getting too used to it? Last time I tried to loose weight I walked a lot but after getting to like 128 I couldn't lose any more. I know you are supposed to change up your routine but how often and what, besides walking, is best for fat burn?
Question number two is shoes: what are the best kind of affordable shoes for running/walking? I say affordable because I really don't have a ton of spending money after rent and bills are paid each month. I want something that will give me the support I need but at the same time not break the bank.
The third question I have is for ladies only, sorry of this is a TMI for guys!! I don't currently run because I have yet to find a sports bra that gives me enough support for it not to hurt my breasts (I guess I'm just sensitive??) I've tried the simple cloth ones and I've tried the underarmor type ones that have 'cups' but neither offered enough support. I'm a 34C and I heard to buy them small for more support but that also didn't help. Does any one know a specific brand that's good and affordable? When I say affordable I don't mean cheap but I'd rather not spend $50 on a sports bra unless it's absolutely necessary (which it hopefully is not).
Thanks in advance

1. I doubt your lack of ability to lose weight after 128lbs had much to do with your body being "used to" your walking routine. But, the important part is to keep pushing yourself to go a little further or a little faster. That's how fit people get fitter/better.
2. As far as shoes go, you shouldn't take brand recommendations from anyone. You should get fitted for a good pair of walking or running shoes (depending on what you want to do) at a running specialty store. Get the shoe that's right for you. They can be expensive, but maybe you can ask family to get you a gift certificate for Christmas?
3. I use Moving Comfort Rebound Racer when I run....and I'm substantially larger than you. It works well for me, but it did cost about $50-60. Before I bought it, I would wear a regular underwire bra in a size too small with one or two cheap spandex sports bras layered over top. It worked well, but the underwire eventually started chafing my skin.0 -
Thanks for the replies
I will try to go longer/ faster than I used to and keep upping myself. Unfortunately I don't have much family but I guess I'll figure something out about the shoes. I will try the bra trick too and see if maybe I can find a Moving Comfort bra in Ross, Marshalls or Burlington coat factory maybe. Thank you again0
