Ski weekend

I am going away this weekend with my husband to go skiing. We are not skiers and we are not going away because it is valentines weekend rather it is the Family Day long weekend here in Ontario. The rest of the weekend we want to try to learn to ski or snowboard, we want to go staking, and I would love to try shoe shoeing which they offer as well.
Anyays, we have rented a challet and it is fully equipped with a kitchen. We are going to go out for Dinner Friday night to treat ourselves for V-day, but I want to bring gorceries with me to make the rest of our meals in the challet to both save money and to stay on track with healthy eating.
Being that I am not a skier, and having never snow shoed, can anyone help me plan what I should bring with me. As of right now I was planning on making a shepards pie w ground turkey and low sodium gravy, and also pack some fish as our other dinenrs. How hungry will we be with al this activity? What and how much snacks should I pack and any healthy ideas for lunches that will fill us and provide us with enough energy to do all this activity?
Thanks in advance!

Bring a lot of healthy snacks that are high in protein(if possible). Skiing is very exhausting, even for those of us who've skiid all our lives. If you are lifting weights right now, hold off on doing legs becuase your hamstrings will be wiped out, especially if you ski black diamond runs!
You will be very tired around lunchtime and will surely welcome some food at the lodge, but make sure you snack prior so you don't overeat.

I hould clarify that carb snacks are not all that bad in this case because t will aid your energy levels and you will burn the carbs fairly fast!
My favorite snacks while skiing: Beef Jerky, 100 cal snack packs or a protein/energy bar all fit nicely in a fanny pack(which are accepted as a neccessary item while skiing and you won't get looked at strangly!)
Remember your chapstick!0
