Hey! I'm a mid-40's active gal. I have an 11-year old daughter, married and work full time. Over the years I've managed to gain about 20 lbs and would love to take it off. My goal is 30 lbs but I'm trying to keep it to 5lbs at a time.

I go to the YMCA at 6am to do Jillian Michaels DVD's with my BFF who's rather slim. I also go to the Y for some of the fitness classes. I competed in two bodybuilding competitions in 1994 and 95, placing second in the lightweight division. I know it's not realistic to maintain that type of body, but being 30 lbs overweight isn't good either.

Would love to chat with someone in a similar boat! I've got the exercising under control but it's what goes into my pie-hole that's affecting me!haha

Lata!!

Try looking up some healthy meals and prepare them the day before. My problem for a while was I would reach for anything available when I was hungry. Now I grab an apple for breakfast, and I make a healthy tuna or chicken salad to last for lunches the next few days. Dinner is easy too, just go shopping and have the ingredients ready and available when you need them :) Good luck girly

You sound so much like me. I have been working out for about 13 years, was 12% body fat at one point. I am 47 now, still workout, not like I used to though. I know how to eat clean, but I seem to fail at this quite often. I get so angry with myself. I need to lose about 15 pounds, but I can tell my body fat is high.... I'm jiggly. Let's do this!
  • I'm also 40. Married 2 kids. 11 and 9. I do the treadmill 3-4 x a week. And I love food!!!!!!!!!! Add me. I also work full time
