I also think it's a waste of money. The way to lose weight is pretty simple.
And it's not in some pill that sounds as if it will make you sweat and poop a lot.

That about covers it. It sounds like anyone who tries it is in for a bad case of the shakes, explosive diarrhea, vomiting, cramping, etc.
If you do it I would just camp out on the bathroom floor. Why not just give yourself food poisoning? Cheaper with similar results?
Ermm no. I certainly never had that when I tried them, and neither has anyone I heard of otherwise they wouldn't still be around.
Yeah, its not a magic pill, but if you can afford something to help you towards your goal then why not? Not that much different to taking a protein shake when you could just eat some chicken really.
    ^^THIS

    ^^ THIS ^^ AGREED!

Oh definitely try them if you like to spend money on something that will make your stomach turn inside out and come out both ends. Sounds like a great investment.

Sir/Maddam, whomever was your logic professor should be fired. There are many things that are stil around that are totally ineffective doing whatever they say the do(magnetic bracelets, Airborne, prayer healing, just to name 3). There might be an energy boost from these products because of the insane amount of caffine and/or taurine they contain, but they are NOT anymore effective than slamming a redbull or 5 hour energy. If they contain any additives to speed up your heart rate(to increase energy levels) than the other 2 already mentioned products, they are dangerous, at best! Otherwise, they work as a plecebo, and if you want to have very expensive urine or stool, go right ahead, but don't ask what people think abou them, then!

Edited out my post because I read thread again :P
Still disagree with the misinformation being put out about them.

ubermensch13, I assume you are replying to me since I was the first person in that quote to say they are ok?
You will notice that I did not say that OP should take them (although if they want appetite suppression and extra energy it certainly wouldn't hurt, I found them to work for that when I have sampled them), just defended them against people who are saying that everyone who takes them is going to get horrible side effects which is simply not true.
I never asked what people think about them, OP did, I gave my opinion on them and corrected some misinformation.
As far as I have noticed the OP has not come back into the thread to argue with people that gave their opinion.

I was actually responding to the person who made the faulty logical argument at the end of the quote.....the person saying they wouldn't be around if they didnt work or had horrible side effects.

Yep, sorry, just edited my post, hadn't realised the person who agreed with me was OP.
Although it was me who said they wouldn't be around if everyone got the horrible side effects that some poeple on here are claiming everyone gets. I'm sure there are many pills around that don't work and are still for sale though.

    I'm here :)

I didn't mean to cause an argument on here lol, i was just curious about the pills, everyone is allowed their opinion, but i think it that if people really want to try it, and they don't mind spending that money..then they should that's all. i don't see the harm in that. you're never really going to know what the actual side effects are until you try them...i guess it might be different for different people..

i didnt say the part at the end by the way...im the OP :)

OK - so here's the only answer you apparently wanted to hear:

Yes, they work awesome. You'll lose 10 pounds a week effortlessly and painlessly while eating anything you want and not having to put forth any effort whatsoever. You'll walk down a path of solid gold through a rainbow, guided by unicorns, to your goal weight in a matter of weeks. There's nothing more magical in the world.

(Note: none of the above is true, but it's apparently the only satisfactory answer for this thread.)
