Mentally and Physically Ready

Hi everyone I recently joined MFP and as always I'm motivated the first few weeks then it's back to the same routine. I'm curious to know if this site is effective? I'm new and I'm looking for any tips/recipes/encouragement as I embark on this long weight loss journey. I'm currently at my highest weight I've ever been 172.4 at 5'1 yikes I know something's gotta give all suggestions n friend request accepted.
