If you're naturally low hormone, there's a very good chance that the at home pregnancy tests will not pick up high enough levels of hCG to give an accurate reading.

Go the doctor. It's very likely that you could be pregnant.

Glad I wasn't the only one that got a chuckle. Sad to say, that might be the reality. There could be other things at play though, BUT based on the timeline the OP gives...

This is like the Yahoo answers I look at when I am similarly hormonally crazy... however, I take BC, and I'm just crazy.

The LEEP procedure throws this little predicament for a loop, since this could all be related to that. Similarly, you're on a fitness website; weight loss, muscle gain, etc. can all throw your hormones for a serious loop and, regardless of what weight you're at, legitimately throw off your period.

However, the had unprotected sex followed by a light period than two/three months of no period is kind of like a neon sign flashing, "BABY." Pregnancy tests aren't super accurate for everyone; not having a period for that long, at 23/24, means something's up.

If you're so hesitant to go to the doctor, why don't you CALL a nurse/doctor/planned parenthood? Although, guess what they're going to say once they hear your symptoms...

Yeah, if it's something you're seriously worried about, just see a doctor. But it could be something stress or diet related. I have definitely experienced both. You'd be surprised how much outside factors effect that stuff. Just book a quick check up if you feel it fit.

Actually, most home pregnancy tests now pick up ridiculously low levels of hCG. I had a positive test and two days later my hCG was only 13. It must have picked up the hCG at about 5-7..

Just an update. I made an appointment for tomorrow. However I ended up starting last night. Let me tell you. I should be allowed to call in sick for the amount of everything that is currently happening. Holy hell I must be being punished for something.

Either way. Not pregnant. Still a normal human woman. Must just be stressed. Thanks for all the insight.

That's sexist. If she's hot has a better ring to it for *so* many reasons.

FYI people grossly overstate the effect of stress on the cycle. Regular daily stressors are hardly enough to have an effect on your cycle so I wouldn't go writing off every anomaly as being a result of some stress.
I would keep your appointment. Irregularities/very painful/odd cycles can mean something is generally off, which you'd want to know about especially if you plan to have children one day.

If it's heavier and more uncomfortable than usual, you very well may have been pregnant. The vast majority of pregnancies end in miscarriage before the woman every knows she's pregnant.

Use a condom next time, 'K?
