Can I eat whey protein + oatmeal instead of eggs?

I'm currently working on getting lean & doing strength training. The texture of eggs makes me nauseous. When mixed with something else, they're much better, but I currently don't have the money to keep buying more veggies & meat for breakfast in addition to what's already being used in dinner.

Will substituting whey protein for eggs (& eating it in my oatmeal) be sufficient? Thanks for the help!

Why do you feel you have to eat eggs? If you like 'em eat 'em. If you don't like 'em, don't. Whey and oatmeal is good. Any source of protein is good. Eggs aren't mandatory.

Do you like eggs combined with low fat dairy like cottage cheese or plain yoghurt? There are tons of these recipes and it saves expensive meat. Plenty of veggies are inexpensive, if you intend to hit nine servings a day you really need to start at breakfast not wait until dinner. In the UK some of the cheapest are frozen: string beans, sweetcorn, broccoli, cauliflower. Fresh: cabbage, carrots, onion and celery and canned tomatoes but you may well find it is different in the US.
